Morning routine<\/h2>\n
  1. Look at both feet in good light.<\/li>
  2. Check colour, temperature, swelling and skin integrity.<\/li>
  3. Feel inside shoes for debris, rough seams or dampness.<\/li>
  4. Choose clean socks and well-fitting shoes.<\/li><\/ol>\n

    Evening routine<\/h2>\n
    1. Inspect soles, heels and between toes; use a mirror if needed.<\/li>
    2. Wash briefly in lukewarm water with mild soap.<\/li>
    3. Dry carefully, especially between toes.<\/li>
    4. Apply a thin layer of moisturiser to dry skin, not between toes.<\/li>
    5. Record any new blister, crack, redness or swelling and contact your clinician when advised.<\/li><\/ol>\n

      Weekly and regular care<\/h2>\n

      Trim nails straight across only if your care team says it is safe. Do not cut calluses yourself. Keep diabetes reviews and professional foot examinations. People with reduced sensation, poor circulation, deformity or a previous ulcer may need more frequent specialist care.<\/p>
